Graded Examinations in Dance

After Primary level is achieved students will move to graded work starting with Grade 1 and progressing up to vocational level. .

Graded Examinations are a series of qualifications that enable children/students to progress from a beginner level up to an appropriate standard for entry to higher education.

IDTA grades are regulated on the QCF( Qualification Credit Framework) being included within the UCAS tariff and therefore contribute towards student's score of UCAS points when the candidate applies for entry to UK Higher Education.

We also offer IDTA examinations in Rosettes, Stardance Awards and Medal Test in all theatre core subjects.

Entry for exams is not compulsory and children who do not wish to enter exams will have same training and knowledge level of the subject as those who chose to enter for exams.
